We are happy to announce that "Scriabin 150 Poetry Competition," part of the International Scriabin 150 Festival, is now open with a one-month submission period till midnight 31 August 2022 (Eastern time). No late submissions will be accepted.

There are three categories in this poetry competition. The judges will be John Stevenson (USA) for haiku/senryu, Ron C. Moss (Australia) for haiga and Garry Gay (USA)/John Thompson (USA) for rengay.

Please send your short bio (70 words and under) along with your submitted poem(s). There is no limit to the number of poems you may submit, but please submit only one category per email. There is a fee of USD $1 per poem via PayPal. Please attach your PayPal receipt number (transaction ID) along with your poetry submission.

Please include your full name, city of residence, country and email address in the body of the email.

Haiga must be submitted as a high resolution image file in two versions, one signed and the other unsigned so it can be judged anonymously. All other poems should be submitted in the body of email as text.

When submitting rengay, please submit the same poem twice, the first version with poet initials after each verse and full names after title in order, and the second version anonymous.

In the subject line, please use the following format:

If you wish to submit to multiple categories please send them in separate emails, one email per category. Winners of the first three places for each category will be awarded a full membership in the Scriabin Society of America till the end of 2023, which also includes full access to the entire online festival.

IMPORTANT: The only other submission requirement is to include your favourite Scriabin piece in the email. You may include up to three pieces and should include opus numbers, for example mine are Op.38, Op.2 No.1 and Op.8 No.12. You are encouraged to list favorite Scriabin pianists as well.

We will invite shortlisted poets by the end of September 2022 to send video readings of their own shortlisted poems by mid-October 2022. We will stream these videos online as well as judges’ comments and announcements on day 2 of the Scriabin festival (12 November 2022). Please check the festival programme for the streaming time.
